1989, Calcutta: As a young mother, I found that life needed a reset. Could I find a way to channel my inherent creativity? Could I cast my dreams in silver? I took the plunge and Mudrika was born. I drew my own designs and worked closely with silver artisans who used age old techniques to give them form. After three decades and over two generations, many of these craftsmen are like extended family. In 2013, my daughter, Vaidehi, joined the team. Her modern sensibilities and creative nous lend a contemporary touch to our new collections.

At Mudrika our effort has always been to sustain and revive traditional techniques, as also the craftsmen. Our ethos finds fulfilment in the sustainable nature of silver itself. Each design is hand-drawn and hand-crafted with precision. The attention to detail, customization, and personalization, makes each piece unique.

Of course our most precious relationship is the one we share with you. We sincerely hope you cherish your Mudrika piece as much as we enjoyed creating it.
